You didn't know I was crafty..did you?

Well, in actuality. I'm not but for some reason, I've been in a crafty mood recently! So, I realized I didn't have any cute Halloween/Fall decorations really, and I needed some. I saw this cute idea in one of my magazines and thought, "Hey, that's just easy enough for a un-crafty person like me!" All you need is some jars in different sizes, tissue paper, and Mod Podge. And with that you can make these:
For Fall!
P.s. I HATE my Give Thanks jar. But oh well...

Meh.. School...meh...

I decided that my first day of school did not warrant a "real" post cause really..school? yuck. (Plus I didn't get the quintessential standing in news school clothes with backpack on picture) So really, what's the point!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!!

Ok, so looking over The Plan, I realized I didn't really take pictures of some of those...so I may not post about them. But here goes...

IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY! Like a hundred years ago, in August. Haha. Well for my birthday Ben and I took a trip out to California and we went to Disneyland! Over the 2 1/2 years Ben and I have known eachother, we have already gone to Disneyland 6 times! For not living in California, that's pretty good! And.. while we were there, we decided to buy Season passes! So we plan to go quite a few more times in the next year or so. We already have one maybe two days planned for Christmas time! (Which, in case you don't know, is the ABSOLUTE best time to go to Disneyland. Anywho, so we went for two days and it was perfect! The first day was super super hot so we spent to things like Turtle Time with Crush and the Aladdin show.. inside and nice and cold! Here's a couple pictures from that trip... P.s. There's not too many because we were just having way too much fun to be worried about pictures!

Ben and I always try to think of new things to do for the pictures!

Ben's very first funnel cake!

We must have been on a a little bit of a sugar high!

We ate lunch at the Blue Bayou (the restaurant in Pirates of the Caribbean) and I had a kids meal which was basically just smaller portions of the adult meal, but for like half the price! And.. I got carrot sticks!!!!!

And, of course, MY FAVORITE RIDE! But apparently, it's everyone else's favorite ride too, cause for some reason it always has the longest line!

I just absolutely love Disneyland and I love Ben for taking me there and I love that he and I have season passes now, I've always wanted one. The one thing I don't love about that trip... is my season pass picture... SO BAD! But oh well, it's worth it!
Also... if you are reading this and thinking, "Man, I love Disneyland! I remember when..." Then you should post a comment and tell me (and the world) what your favorite Disneyland memory is!

The Plan!

I keep telling myself that I have at least two or three new posts to put on here, but I never end up doing it. So my hope is that now that I have it down in writing that it will force me to finally do it! Come on, Kelsie! NO MORE PROCRASTINATION! IN case you are curious, here are the teasers to the posts I hope to add soon.
- Ben and Kelsie's Disney Trip
- Kelsie's First day of School and Birthday!
- Kelsie's Attempt to bake her way through Martha Stewart's Cupcake book
- A display/ attempt at bragging about my adorable Halloween/Fall Jars... seriously, so cute!

So that's my plan, man. Hopefully it will happen. We'll see. :)

Au Revoir!

Just a quick post! I was so happy that I was able to go with Andy and her parents to drop her off at the MTC. Although it was just a few minutes really, it was what I needed to say goodbye and feel ok with not seeing her for so long. I'm so proud of her, and know that she will be an absolutely AMAZING missionary! I can't wait to get her letters and hear about all the fantastic work she is doing! Of course I'll miss her terribly, but somehow I'll make it through!! :)
Oh, and a few notes on the actual drop off process.
1. Because Wednesdays are the day all new missionaries go in, it is absolutely a madhouse over at the MTC. There were seriously lines to go and take a picture with your missionary infront of the gates! Crazy!
2. When you drop off your missionary you are giving a spot on the curb to pull up to and then the missionary is just supposed to get out and grab their luggage and go. And Andy was super nervous because she had two big suitcases and wasn't sure she'd be able to lug them around. But as we were driving in, we noticed that at each parking spot were two Elders with Host nametages, ready to help you with your luggage! It was seriously precious and it like made my day!

California...California.. Here we Coooooommmmeee!!!

So this past weekend we finally made a trip out to Redlands! We hadn't been since the wedding, and I was missing my family, the weather, the palm trees, Andy and just about EVERYTHING in Redlands!
We went out for Andy's farewell and then just to spend time with the familia. We mostly hung out and ate and that's about it! We got to go down to Orange County to go see my grandparents, which was super nice because Ben had only met them once and that was at our wedding reception.
Andy's farewell talk was wonderful and her primary class sung "I hope they call me on a mission," and pretty much all of us cried! We didn't get to spend as much with Andy as we had hoped, but at least we got to see her for a little bit before she left for 18 months!
Anywho, it was a really short trip and we were so lame we didn't take any pictures! But we are planning another trip out to California in August for my birthday! It's going to be a Disneyland Extravaganza! And I promise there will be a TON of pictures to put on from that trip!
